Due to it's location Plymouth is primarily a point of entry and exit for tourists looking to take the ferry to France and Spain, however the port has a long and rich history and of course is where Sir Francis Drake set off for the world's first circum navigation in 1577.

The port handles around 250,000 tonnes each year and has facilities for a wide range of cargoes.

It offers over 50,0000sq ft of covered storage ran by well known logistics companies, and there is over 365,000 sq ft of additional open storage. Just outside the town are a couple of MHRA accreited sites for medical goods, a BRC accredited site for storing food and a number of haulage firms able to help with transportation.
