Hull port is famous for the UK's first fully-enclosed cargo-handling facility. The site provides all-weather working for various types of weather-sensitive cargoes including steel and bagged products.

The Container Terminal handles over 100,000 teu each year. There are storage facilities for general cargo - incorporating over 40 transit warehouses covering 230,000 sq m, and in addition there is currently 65 ha of open storage.

The town is riddled with warehouses! Along the waerfront besides the A63 and A1033 there are an unusual amount of third party logistics (3PL) companies available for short-term and overspill warehousing. Because of the fishing industry there are also many BRC-accredited warehouses, often providing frozen or chilled storage.
