2 miles north of Goole town centre and about 1 mile south of Howden and just 50 miles from the mouth of the Humber Estuary, the Port of Howden is strategically placed. As such, is one of the most inland-sited ports in whole of the British Isles.
The Port is also located on the River Ouse and directly adjacent to the main M62 Trans-pennine motorway which connects Liverpool with Hull via Manchester and Leeds intersecting the M1. This link positions the Port with fantastic access to the industrial markets of the North, West and Midland regions of the country.
The Port of Howden provides comprehensive warehousing and open storage areas covering 36 acres. There is 214,000 sq ft of covered warehousing and substantial open storage areas. Facilities include specialist bulk handling facilities, including tanker loading and bagging services.
Some well know logistics companies are located nearbuy who can provide bulk and pallet storage, temporary warehousing, haulage and fulfilment services. Outside of the town, Stowga has warehouses in Howden, Newland and East Cowick, and a range of options available in Selby.
